Hi my name is Julie, I'm the salon owner and stylist with over 20 years of experience in the hairdressing industry. Specialising in ladies' colouring, highlights cuts and styling.
I'm a wife to my fantastic husband and a loving mother to my two beautiful children.

I first started my hairdressing journey when I was 13 working in town centre salons as a Saturday girl, being a hairstylist has always been my passion and my dream was to always have my own salon.

After leaving school I went to do an apprenticeship at Clippers to complete my level 2 and 3 in hairdressing I worked at Clippers as a junior and then stylist for 8 years.
In 2012 after having my first child I decided to continue my career doing mobile hair, visiting clients around Chesterfield. I did this for 6 years. And was fantastic whilst we started a family however I always wanted more.

In 2019 I was lucky enough to be able to open my own Salon. Glacier Hair Boutique which is situated in Penmore House, Hasland Chesterfield.

I wanted my salon to be small and offer a more relaxed atmosphere than the busy high street salons which it does.
it is somewhere where you can relax and escape the madness of everyday life and get your hair done.

I work by appointment only, welcoming new clients.

Julie is always very flexible and accommodating with appointments for my elderly Mum and it has been very reassuring that her salon is always spotlessly clean, well aerated and with individual appointments being offered so that there is no risk of overcrowding or cross contamination. Throughout the pandemic Julie has continued to wear a face covering even when this wasn't a legal requirement, which has enhanced our feelings of safety especially as my Mum is very vulnerable given her age (she is 90).
